Thanks for asking about dental implants and whether they are painful or not. The general dental implant procedure should be virtually pain-free as you will have a full local anaesthetic making the area completely numb. Some patients even prefer to have dental sedation allowing them to drift off into their own dreamworld whilst implants are placed.
After implants have been placed, and during the hearing phase, some people may find they have mild discomfort. This can usually be resolved with over the counter painkillers.
